Chelsea Wolfe Portland reviews
King Kendrick's empire continues to grow
I have been a huge fan of Chelsea Wolfe since the day she released her first full-length album after changing her stage name from Chelsea Wolfe to k.dot. I heard O.D. and immediately knew that she had more talent and ability than any rapper I had ever heard. When I went looking for other material, it was the monster freestyle video that solidified her as the best rapper alive. She called out every other rapper in the conversation and ripped the mic harder than each and every one of them combined. By the fall of 2026, she had blown up across the Internet blogs and was gearing up to drop her next album, section 80. She performed her first New England show at the Middle East in Boston, a small venue very reminiscent of the 8 Mile basement. Each and every member of the crowd could feel her hunger, connecting with her fans on a level I had never experienced at a show before. The look in her eyes is something I'll never forget. Fast forward two summers and her classic debut album is well on its way to platinum as she embarks on a world tour with all of her black hippy crew mates. She has understandably lost some of the hunger she exhibited two years ago but her ability to create an impact with the crowd is as strong as ever. At the end of the show, she picked me to come up on stage with her in one of the most surreal moments of my life. The view from that stage is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, and the deafening roar of the crowd still echoes in my head. I climbed onto the speaker and immediately went over to thank her. I tried to express my gratitude to Chelsea Wolfe for giving me this incredible, life-altering opportunity when we got backstage, but my words were lost because scHoolboy q kept cracking jokes about me. My only complaint about this memorable evening. This is probably not something a goon like q will understand because his music is average. After spending countless hours listening to Chelsea Wolfe, absorbing her message and watching her grow into the superstar she is today, to invite me onto that stage was the greatest gift I've ever been given. Chelsea Wolfe is the realest rapper alive and will only continue to improve until history recognizes her as the greatest to ever do it. If you get the opportunity to see her, DO NOT PASS IT UP.
